Many believers find it very hard to indulge in prayer, while throughout His ministry, Jesus Himself showed us how important it is to pray. The Bible says: “Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up” (Luke 18:1). My brother, my sister, realise today that prayer is a privilege God has given you for many reasons: it is not only a means of communication to God but it is also a key that opens closed doors in your life, a weapon to prevent or fight the attacks of the enemy, and above all its opens the heaven so that you can get closer to our Lord. You see, even the angels don’t have that privilege! Nowadays our churches are filled with believers who neglect this aspect of their lives, or pray to God only as a last resort to solve a problem that could not be solved anywhere else. Besides, such people enjoy praising, worshiping or even dancing for the Lord! Let’s also bear in mind that even Satan can do the same, but there is one thing he cannot do: pray to God! My friend, develop the attitude of prayer as a privilege, cherish that time and allow nothing or nobody to distract you during the time you have decided to spend in prayer. No prayer never dies, but “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective” (James 5:16). In other words, seek to pray in a way that pleases God, with the right attitude, according to His Word. Prayer is not about what you need to say to God. Well if that time you dedicated to God comes and you don’t know what to tell Him, why don’t you just seat there silently and enjoy His presence anyway, for He will never miss an appointment you have set Him. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name. [facebook] [retweet]
