Praising the Lord always… with all our hearts! That’s what God wants us to do despite anything that happens in our lives. My brother, my sister, the Bible says: “O my God, I cry by day, but You do not answer; And by night, but I have no rest. Yet You are holy, O You who are enthroned upon the praises of Israel. In You our fathers trusted; They trusted and You delivered the” (Psalm 22:2-4). What does this mean for us Christians today? When you concentrate on being thankful to the Lord, you may think you are doing nothing special. That’s why some believers neglect this part of their prayer time. My friend, praising Jesus Christ in word and in deed may seem like nothing to you, but for the spiritual realm, it is like using an explosive bomb saying “despite my unwanted situation, everything is right in my Father’s house”. Through praise, you are telling the devil who wants you to focus you on what is wrong in your life (health issues, problems, sorrow, etc.) that you have reasons to praise Jesus… And if you do not know a reason to praise the Lord, at least do it because He gave you the breath of life this morning! That is the reason why the Lord keeps telling us not to worry, but leave everything in His Holy hands. He is interceding for us day and night where He is sitting at the right hand of God… So, the only thing He is asking you is to show Him your highest obedience that only a willing heart can display… therefore, if like the people of Israel, you can enthrone the Lord of lords and trust Him for every little thing in your life, have the assurance that your trial will not won over you and that through your suffering, the Lord will glorify His mighty name. Your praises are a way to express your trust that you believe in His mighty power to deliver you from evil just like He did with many others in the Bible (Paul and Silas in Acts 16 are the greatest example of that). Yes, praising the Lord is an urgent appeal to God for your deliverance! Stay blessed in Jesus’ name. [facebook] [retweet]
