My brother, my sister, you have certainly been praying, fasting and asking people to assist you in prayers? But do you realise who you are in Christ? God’s Word says: “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” Now, my question is, do you sometimes proclaim the excellencies of Christ in your life?
Sometimes we do not even know who the Bible says we are… so we define ourselves by who people say we are, who our society says we are, who we ourselves say we are, which is always based on our blurred vision, our doubts, fears and our individual situations. What about proclaiming who you are in Christ today? And let me remind you what the Bible says you are as I invite you to proclaim it:
“I am the righteousness of God. I am blameless, I am holy. I have Jesus inside of me. I am loved. Because of His grace, I am able to surrender all unto my Saviour.”
Aware of your identity in Christ, now pray:
“I love Jesus, because He forgave me even when I doubted myself. He lifted me up above many storms in the past and He will do it again because He said He will never leave me nor foresake me. I am who I am because of His love not because of a human being’s love. And yes, I am ready to follow Jesus. I am ready to serve, honour, praise and worship Him. In Jesus’ name I pray.”
Possessing your identity is affirming it and living it… not only reciting it. If you believe, you will see the glory of God in the land of the living. So believe in who you are in Christ: a new person! For, the Bible says: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” (2 Corinthians 5:17). No matter what is happening in your life right now, you are a new person and victorious in Christ. Proclaim it, believe it and live it. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
