Today’s passage says this: “Go home to your friends and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” My brother, my sister, sometimes we wait too long before giving our testimonies to God’s glory, while every day He adds in our life is a blessings by itself.
Yesterday, we had an amazing service at church where many brought their families to come and hear from God. Oh, the Lord is good and so timely. A time of testimony is a cheerful time of joy, when all is about giving back to God, not receiving from Him. The Spirit of the Lord is in us to bear witness: “The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children” (Romans 8:16). So, because of our privileged position, we should always remember that God gives us because He loves us so much that He sent Jesus to come down from heaven to die for us. In return, we should always show appreciation of the great things He has done, He is doing and we expect Him to do in our lives. Of course, saying thank you everyday is good, but spreading the Lord’s great love by sharing it with others is better. There are people who say to their partners that they love them, but they feel ashamed to take them out and many people may not know that they are together. When we love Jesus, we should not hide Him, worse, hide what He has done for us.
Let’s thank the Lord for this great day, but also share why this day is so great to us with others, because we don’t know. That person may be praying for something and your experience can give them or renew their hope in the Lord. Giving a testimony is testify about the Lord, let’s not be greedy or selfish with our testimonies. Listen to the Lord’s call to go and tell our friends about the Lord. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
