Yesterday, I was watching a movie and heard an actor who almost died in the movie saying her brother who had died told her to return on earth… so, she came back to life because it was not yet time to join her brother in Paradise! Well, it was just a movie, but as a Christian, this actor’s statement raised this question in me: ARE YOU SURE TO GO TO PARADISE? First of all, the Word of God tells us that, so far, “No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven – the Son of Man” (John 3:13). Besides, in the story of the rich man and Lazarus (Luke 16:19-31), Jesus is teaching us about the reality of heaven and hell, each person who lives will spend eternity in one of these two places, because our choices to seek God through Jesus (the only way to the Father (John 14:6)) or disregard Him here on earth literally affect where we spend eternity. Now, my brother and sister, we should always check ourselves in the light of the Scriptures to know where we stand in our walk with the Lord. The sad reality of what we hear and see in today’s Christianity is that, many believers assume that because they have accepted Jesus, they are saved! My friend, the grace of God is not to be taken for granted and being a Christian can become just a label attached to you IF and WHEN you ignore the commands of the Lord. You may have accepted the Lord, but continue living in fornication… does it mean the grace you enjoy in Jesus will make an exception of your case? Let the Spirit of God help you find the answer! Yes, there are many conditions for us to be able to enter the Kingdom of God, so let’s just gather a few Bible quotes, that require no further comments, but invite us to meditate individually and help those who need to hear this by sharing these verses with them. Yes, these are just a few verses. There are many more in the Bible. But these few can enable us to understand why the Lord invites us to store up for ourselves treasures in heaven (Matthew 6:19-21), for that is the only treasure that lasts eternally. Let’s all reflect on these verses to see how we are preparing ourselves for life after our life on earth… For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also (Matthew 6:21) Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
BIBLE VERSES ON ENTERING THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN:
– No one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit (John 3:5)
– For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16)
– The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God (Galatians 5:19-21)
– We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God (Acts 14:22)
– For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 5:20)
– When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. ‘Then the King will say to those on his right, “Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was ill and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me”…. (Matthew 25:31-46)
– Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 18:1-4)
– Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men (1 Corinthians 6:9)
– Children, how hard it is[a] to enter the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God (Mark 10:17-24)
