Too many people fail to realise that in order to prevail over life’s difficulties it is necessary for them to first cry out to the Lord for help and praise Him while waiting for His deliverance. My brother, my sister, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever: if he could deliver the demoniac and set him free from a legion of demons, he can deliver you today; if he could open the eyes of someone born blind, he can heal and deliver you today; if he could raise Lazarus from the tomb after being dead for four days, he can bring resurrection of dead areas of your life. Now, the question is: are you really prepared for His deliverance? The very truth about many believers is that they do believe in a God that can save their soul from hell, but doubt He can deliver them from nicotine, alcohol, drugs, any health problems or earthly difficulties. Why is it? Because they have not yet realised that Jesus is the Word made flesh and and anyone who seeks Him in a right spirit with the right “tools” will experience His freeing power. So, if you want deliverance, my friend, abide to the Word and the starting point is to repent by coming back to that place of humility and sorrow that the Lord will be able to see your sincerely broken heart, then renounce by cutting off any legal right for Satan to bind or torment you, because if our words have been contrary to God’s, then we have aligned ourselves with the works of darkness. Now, to be free from them, we must counter those words with God’s Word, thus renouncing the hidden works of shame in our lives: ” we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God” (2 Corinthians 4:2). That’s how we prepare our heart for the Lord to be able to deliver us. My friend, there is no point seeking for deliverance all around if you yourself have not positioned yourself for it through the Word. Watch Zacchaeus: he positioned himself and was restored by Jesus (Luke 19:1-10). Today’s verse says: “He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave.” So, as long as you are after that pastor who has this or that power, you will never experience deliverance. You need to be after the Word that heals and rescues for the grave! That’s the reason why many of church-goers remain in the darkness (just see how they live and talk after church, then you will know who they are!). The Bible is clear: my people perish for lack of knowledge, not for lack of intercessors, pastors or anyone that the Lord can use as a vessel for your deliverance. Only the Word made flesh can deliver you. In order words, your deliverance starts from your own heart’s desire to know the Word! Stay blessed in Jesus’ name. [retweet] [facebook]
